Joe Robinson

Incredibly, former Cyclist digital editor Joe Robinson did not learn to ride a bike until the age of 14 as he used to skateboard so had no interest in getting a bike.

Thankfully he has since seen the light and has been hooked ever since watching Alberto Contador battle the Schleck brothers and Lance Armstrong to Verbier at the 2009 Tour de France.

Joe was Cyclist's man for niche facts about Leif Hoste, anecdotes on how good Zdenek Stybar smells and the Cyclist Magazine Podcast, which he co-founded in 2020 with deputy editor James Spender.

Joe is fond of telling people about his 6ft 3in wingspan – despite only being 6ft tall – and that time he appeared on a BBC quiz show.

Joe is currently the editor of Rugby World magazine.
